Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using hand trucks, forklifts, or cranes safely and efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground as directed by foremen.
- Assist Trades: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with daily tasks and general labor needs.
- Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain basic construction tools and machinery under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Cleanup: Perform general cleanup and site maintenance duties to ensure the workspace is organized.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic are essential.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Background Check: Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Experience: Prior construction or landscaping experience is a plus but not required.
