Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in the setup and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring the area is clean, organized, and safe for operations.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and machinery under supervision, including jackhammers, saws, and drills.
- Trade Support: Perform manual labor tasks to support framing, drywall, masonry, and other skilled trades, such as mixing concrete, digging trenches, and holding materials.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
- Documentation: Assist with basic site documentation, including tracking hours and reporting daily progress.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction or general labor experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform strenuous physical labor in various weather conditions.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction safety gear is a plus.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
