Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and ironworkers, with daily tasks and project execution.
- Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and equipment around the job site efficiently.
- Perform general site preparation, including digging, trenching, and leveling.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing debris and adhering to OSHA safety regulations.
- Operate basic construction tools and heavy machinery under the supervision of a foreman.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructions when necessary.
- Support the project team with any manual labor tasks to ensure project deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical labor for long periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various weather conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in construction or a willingness to learn is preferred.
- Strong understanding of basic construction safety protocols (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
