Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment at the job site.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites, including cleaning, digging, and leveling areas for construction projects.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers) under supervision and help with setup.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations and wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Trade Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with basic tasks to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Clean-up: Maintain a clean and organized work area at the end of each shift to prevent hazards.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform manual labor for long periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing on feet for 8+ hours.
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and a strong desire to learn new skills in the construction industry.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and consistent in attendance.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Transportation: Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends or overtime as needed.
