Job Overview
We are seeking motivated individuals to support our skilled crews on various residential and commercial projects throughout the state. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to enter the trades.
Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and leveling ground.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials (lumber, bricks, concrete) to and from the site using hand trucks and forklifts.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and equipment, such as brooms, shovels, hammers, and saws under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific safety protocols at all times.
- Assist Tradesmen: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and masons as needed during active construction phases.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe environment for the entire crew.
Qualifications
- Experience: No prior construction experience required; we train the right candidates.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform heavy manual labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and able to pass a background check.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime as required.
