Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack building materials at job sites safely and efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Clean work areas, dig trenches, and prepare surfaces for construction activities.
- Tool Operation: Assist in the operation of power tools, jackhammers, and hand tools under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and site-specific protocols to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Team Support: Perform general labor tasks to support carpenters, electricians, and other skilled tradespeople.
- Site Cleanup: Ensure the job site is clean and organized at the end of each shift.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members regarding task requirements.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for long periods, including lifting heavy objects (50+ lbs).
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidates.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License (Class B preferred) and a clean driving record.
- Safety Focus: Strong commitment to workplace safety and following instructions.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills in English.
