Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material handling and tool management
- Operate light machinery (concrete mixers, jackhammers) under supervision
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized workspaces
- Read and interpret basic construction blueprints and instructions
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs) and physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Participate in emergency site cleanup and damage repair as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred (not required)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction equipment
- OSHA 10-hour certification (training provided if needed)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero tolerance for tardiness
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- Previous construction experience highly valued but not mandatory
