Responsibilities
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting materials, and operating hand/power tools under supervision
- Assist skilled tradesmen with site preparation, cleanup, and material handling
- Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to OSHA guidelines and safety protocols
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and instructions from supervisors
- Operate light machinery such as jackhammers, saws, and concrete mixers after training
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment at job sites
- Report hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately to site supervisors
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required - comprehensive training provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Valid state ID or driver's license for equipment operation certification
- Strong work ethic and commitment to punctuality and reliability
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Willingness to work night shifts (10 PM - 6 AM) with flexible scheduling options
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Team player with excellent communication skills
