Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials using hand tools, dollies, and forklifts (as trained).
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment such as jackhammers, concrete mixers, and generators under supervision.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by removing obstacles and ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Assisting Trades: Support skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and masons, with various tasks as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols at all times.
- Demolition Support: Assist in light demolition and removal of debris from renovation projects.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
- Willingness to Work Nights: Must be available to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM).
- Reliability: Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Teamwork: Strong desire to work collaboratively with a diverse team of construction professionals.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- Valid ID: Must have a valid Social Security card and government-issued ID.
