Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation of construction sites, including clearing debris, marking areas, and setting up temporary fencing or barriers.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the site using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Basic Task Support: Help skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) by fetching tools, holding materials, and performing general cleanup.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and power tools (drills, saws) under supervision.
- Quality Control: Ensure all materials are stored properly and assist in inspecting work areas for safety hazards.
- Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized job site daily, including sweeping, hauling trash, and removing scrap lumber.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to stand, walk, climb, and lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Reliability: A proven track record of punctuality and attendance is required.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
- Availability: Must be available to work nights (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) and weekends as needed.
- Tools: Basic understanding of construction safety protocols and the willingness to wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Experience: Prior construction experience is a plus but not strictly required for eager, fast learners.
