Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up barriers, and ensuring the area is safe for operations.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- General Labor: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks including digging, mixing concrete, and basic assembly.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of power tools and construction machinery.
- Site Safety: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and report any hazards or unsafe conditions immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of materials used and tasks completed during the shift.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor, general labor, or a related skilled trade is preferred.
- Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), standing, walking, and bending for long periods.
- Availability: Must be available to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Safety Training: Familiarity with basic construction safety standards (OSHA 10/30 preferred).
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus.
