Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including excavation, material handling, and equipment operation
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and site-specific regulations
- Assist skilled trades with preparation, cleanup, and material staging
- Operate hand/power tools and light machinery safely
- Maintain organized work areas and report safety hazards
- Complete daily progress reports and inventory management
- Collaborate with crew leads for task prioritization
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience preferred
- Valid O-10 construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Reliable transportation to job sites across metro Detroit
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Basic math skills for material calculations
- Strong work ethic and punctuality for overnight shifts
- Ability to stand/walk 8+ hours per shift
