Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment.
- Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various tasks including cutting, drilling, and assembling.
- Perform general site cleanup, including removing debris, trash, and waste materials.
- Follow all safety protocols and site regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Measure, cut, and shape materials (wood, metal, concrete) according to blueprints or supervisor instructions.
- Operate and maintain basic construction tools and machinery in good working order.
- Perform physical labor that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Qualifications
- Ability to work the night shift (e.g., 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM or 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM).
- Physically fit and capable of performing strenuous labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic understanding of construction safety procedures and OSHA regulations is a plus.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow direct instructions from site supervisors.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
