Responsibilities
- Assist skilled carpenters, masons, and general contractors with material handling and site preparation
- Perform cleanup duties including debris removal, waste disposal, and job site organization
- Operate basic hand tools (shovels, wheelbarrows, hammers) under supervision
- Follow all safety protocols and wear provided PPE (hard hats, vests, gloves)
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Assist with trenching, excavation, and foundation preparation tasks
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report maintenance needs
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – training provided
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with daily start times at 6:00 AM
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory
- Team player with positive attitude and willingness to learn
