Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with construction tasks including material handling, site cleanup, and tool preparation
- Operate basic equipment and hand tools under supervision (e.g., shovels, wheelbarrows, saws)
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area
- Load/unload construction materials and transport them to designated locations
- Perform physical tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials (up to 50 lbs)
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily project goals and deadlines
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and reporting procedures
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – we provide comprehensive training
- Must be 18+ years old and legally authorized to work in the US
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong willingness to learn and follow instructions from supervisors
- Basic communication skills and ability to work in a team setting
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Virginia Beach
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening (standard for industry)
