Responsibilities
- Site Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with daily tasks and project needs.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute building materials, tools, and equipment from trucks to the work site.
- Preparation: Perform site preparation duties, including digging, cleaning, and leveling the ground as directed.
- Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and materials are accounted for and stored properly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment and hand tools under the supervision of a foreman.
- General Labor: Perform miscellaneous tasks as needed to support the completion of construction projects.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and push heavy materials (50+ lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Availability: Must be available to work full-time hours, including weekends and overtime when necessary.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and punctuality are essential.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; a valid driver's license is a plus but not mandatory.
- Attitude: A positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
