Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize building materials, tools, and equipment according to safety regulations.
- Tool Operation: Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery (under supervision) to perform basic construction tasks.
- Support Trades: Help skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with tasks such as carrying supplies, holding materials, and cleaning work areas.
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain a safe and organized work environment by removing waste and ensuring the job site is hazard-free.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and company guidelines at all times.
Qualifications
- Attitude: A strong work ethic, reliability, and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions.
- Communication: Basic verbal communication skills and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
