Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and digging trenches to prepare for construction.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials (bricks, concrete, lumber) using hand tools, dollies, and forklifts under supervision.
- Equipment Support: Operate basic construction equipment such as wheelbarrows, pumps, and compressors safely and efficiently.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety rules to maintain a hazard-free environment.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards at the end of each shift.
- Assisting Trades: Support electricians, carpenters, and plumbers with basic tasks and material delivery as directed by the foreman.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, and working on uneven terrain.
- No Experience Required: Open to candidates with zero prior construction experience; full training provided.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work hard as part of a team.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
- Tools: Willingness to provide own basic steel-toed boots (or ready to purchase).
- Legal Status: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
