Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and equipment operators with material handling and site preparation
- Perform excavation, demolition, and debris removal using hand tools and light machinery
- Read blueprints and safety protocols to ensure compliance with OSHA standards
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and support waste management procedures
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervision
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Report hazards and maintain daily equipment inspection logs
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor or related experience preferred
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic understanding of construction terminology and safety practices
- Strong teamwork ethic and clear communication skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and early mornings (4-6 AM start times)
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
