Responsibilities
- Assist skilled trades with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervision
- Read and interpret basic construction blueprints and instructions
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain organized job sites
- Assist in concrete work, demolition, and framing tasks
- Transport materials and equipment using carts, dollies, or forklifts (certified)
- Report maintenance issues and safety hazards to site supervisors
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction/labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexible availability including weekends/evenings
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check required
