Responsibilities
- Assist in site preparation including material handling, equipment setup, and debris removal
- Perform physical tasks such as digging, lifting, and carrying construction materials up to 50 lbs
- Operate hand tools (shovels, hammers, saws) and power equipment under supervision
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Support skilled tradespeople in carpentry, masonry, and concrete finishing tasks
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and instructions
- Participate in daily team briefings and progress updates
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction or manual labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Physical stamina to stand/walk 8+ hours daily and lift heavy objects
- Basic math skills for measuring and material calculations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Flexible availability including weekends and early mornings
