Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and equipment operators on active construction sites
- Safely operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervision
- Maintain clean, organized job sites by sorting materials and debris removal
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions for material prep/layout
- Perform basic site preparation including trenching, shoring, and excavation support
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and wear required PPE at all times
- Assist with material handling, loading/unloading trucks, and inventory management
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic hand/power tool proficiency or willingness to learn
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification preferred (training available)
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Sacramento County
- Flexible availability for early mornings and weekend shifts
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety-first practices
