Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and skilled trades with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup duties
- Operate basic construction tools and equipment including saws, drills, and pneumatic tools under supervision
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and company quality standards
- Load/unload construction materials and organize job site inventory
- Perform physical tasks including digging, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and operating hand/power tools
- Complete daily progress reports and maintain clean, organized work areas
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction site experience or vocational training certificate
- Valid Washington State driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred (training available)
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with consistent attendance
- Basic math skills for material measurements and calculations
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and stand/walk for 8+ hours
- Team-oriented mindset with clear communication skills
