Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other tradespeople with material handling and site preparation
- Operate hand tools (shovels, hammers, saws) and power equipment (saws, drills) safely
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job sites
- Perform demolition, debris removal, and basic site cleanup tasks
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and OSHA standards at all times
- Assist with measuring, cutting, and installing building materials
- Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs to supervisors
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and safety practices
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in various weather conditions (heat, rain, cold)
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Previous construction experience preferred but not required
