Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing, digging, and leveling areas; remove debris and obstacles.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials to and from job sites using hand trucks, forklifts, or other equipment.
- Assist Tradesmen: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) by performing necessary tasks such as holding materials, cleaning work areas, and assisting with measurements.
- Tool Maintenance: Inspect, clean, and store tools and equipment properly to ensure safety and longevity.
- Waste Management: Maintain a clean and organized job site by removing scrap material and adhering to site cleanliness standards.
- General Labor: Perform miscellaneous tasks as requested by the Site Foreman or Project Manager.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs frequently and work in various weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- Communication: Ability to follow instructions clearly and communicate effectively with team members.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of construction tools is a plus.
- Reliability: Must be punctual and dedicated to completing tasks efficiently.
