In this role, you will assist our lead craftsmen and construction supervisors in various projects, ensuring that every job site is safe, efficient, and completed to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, marking areas, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Material Handling: Load and unload building materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks and organize them at the job site.
- Trade Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, with various tasks as directed.
- Machinery Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and power tools under supervision to assist in construction activities.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including cleanup after shifts and daily inspections of tools.
- Quality Control: Help ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards before handover.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects and standing on feet.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is preferred but not always required.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Experience: Previous construction or landscaping experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Availability: Must be available for part-time shifts, including weekends or evenings if necessary.
