Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently under the supervision of skilled tradespeople.
- Assistance: Provide general assistance to carpenters, electricians, and masons as needed to ensure project timelines are met.
- Cleaning: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by sweeping, raking, and removing waste materials.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members regarding tasks and safety hazards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Driver’s License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- Safety First: Familiarity with basic construction safety protocols (OSHA standards) is a plus.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of hand tools and willingness to learn power tools.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and able to work well in a team environment.
