Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and prepare construction materials, tools, and equipment for use on the job site.
- Site Support: Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various tasks to ensure project progress.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area, including removing debris and trash regularly.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction equipment and power tools as directed by the Site Supervisor.
- Excavation & Prep: Perform general excavation, backfilling, and site preparation tasks as required.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor for long periods, including lifting, bending, and standing.
- Lifting Requirement: Capable of lifting 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
- Teamwork: Must be a reliable team player who shows up on time and works well with others.
