Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up equipment, and ensuring safety protocols
- Operate hand/power tools (hammers, saws, drills) for material handling and installation
- Assist skilled tradespeople with concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks
- Read blueprints and follow verbal instructions to execute project requirements
- Maintain clean and organized work areas to prevent hazards and improve efficiency
- Transport materials using wheelbarrows, carts, or basic machinery as needed
- Report equipment malfunctions and safety concerns to supervisors immediately
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform strenuous tasks in outdoor conditions
- Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation to job sites
- Basic math skills for material measurements and quantity calculations
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- Ability to stand/walk for 8+ hours daily in various weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Construction site safety certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills
