Responsibilities
- Site Support: Assist in general construction activities including excavation, loading, and unloading of materials.
- Machinery: Operate basic construction equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and jackhammers under supervision.
- Site Maintenance: Keep job sites clean, organized, and free of hazards in compliance with OSHA standards.
- Measurements: Accurately measure and cut materials (wood, metal, concrete) to required specifications.
- Assistance: Support carpenters, masons, and electricians with specific tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
- Documentation: Complete daily logs and report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions immediately.
Qualifications
- Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Prior construction or general labor experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidates.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from the job site is required.
