Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and ensuring a safe work environment.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Assist Skilled Trades: Provide support to carpenters, electricians, and other tradespeople by measuring, cutting, and holding materials as needed.
- General Labor: Perform digging, trenching, and basic carpentry tasks under supervision.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Site Cleanup: Maintain cleanliness of the job site, ensuring tools are stored properly and hazards are reported.
Qualifications
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work various shifts including weekends and overtime.
- Communication: Basic ability to communicate clearly with team leaders and site managers.
- Willingness to Learn: Openness to training and learning new construction techniques.
- Driver's License: A valid driver's license is preferred for site access.
