Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack construction materials (wood, concrete, bricks) safely and efficiently.
- Machinery Operation: Operate power tools and light construction equipment such as saws, drills, and concrete mixers under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret basic construction blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized job site, including sweeping and organizing tools after use.
- Assisting Trades: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) as needed during daily operations.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy materials (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment is preferred.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Safety Mindset: Strong commitment to safety and following instructions.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as required by project schedules.
- Communication: Good verbal communication skills to interact effectively with foremen and coworkers.
