Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing, digging, and leveling areas prior to the arrival of heavy machinery.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack building materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor.
- Tool Operation: Operate hand tools (hammers, saws) and power tools (drills, compressors) safely and correctly.
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, masons) with various tasks as directed.
- Site Maintenance: Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret basic blueprints and diagrams to understand project requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for long periods in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- Safety Conscious: Strong understanding of workplace safety protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Reliability: Punctual, hardworking, and dedicated to quality workmanship.
- Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
