Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and debris removal
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) with precision and safety protocols
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and installation
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and maintain clean, organized work zones
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Participate in emergency response for weather-related delays or site issues
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction site experience or equivalent training
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with zero-tolerance policy for tardiness
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends on project deadlines
