Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by digging trenches, clearing debris, and setting up temporary structures.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic power tools and heavy machinery under supervision, including jackhammers, saws, and forklifts.
- Cleaning & Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by removing waste and organizing tools after each shift.
- Assistance: Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various on-site tasks as needed.
- Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to ensure a safe workplace.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction or general labor experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs), and work in various weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors and communicate effectively with team members.
- Tools: Basic understanding of construction tools and safety equipment is a plus.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, dependable, and willing to work overtime when necessary.
