Responsibilities
- Perform site preparation including excavation, grading, and material handling using hand/power tools
- Operate light machinery (forklifts, excavators) with proper certification/training
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with material logistics and task completion
- Enforce strict OSHA compliance and maintain clean, organized work environments
- Read blueprints and project specifications to execute tasks accurately
- Participate in emergency response protocols for weather-related delays
- Complete daily safety inspections and equipment maintenance checks
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience required
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid Massachusetts driver's license and clean driving record
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience with power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) preferred
