Responsibilities
- Load and Unload Materials: Safely transport construction materials to and from the job site using hand trucks, dollies, and forklifts.
- Site Preparation: Clear and prepare job sites by removing debris, dirt, and obstacles to ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist with Construction Tasks: Support skilled tradespeople by performing various tasks including digging, mixing concrete, and assisting with framing or roofing.
- Machinery Operation: Operate power tools, including saws, drills, and compressors, ensuring all equipment is in safe working condition.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards, reporting any issues to the Site Supervisor immediately.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to OSHA safety regulations, wearing required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing for long durations.
- Experience: Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, hardworking, and able to work well in a team environment.
- Valid ID: Must possess a valid Driver’s License and Social Security Card for payroll processing.
- Communication Skills: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or in various weather conditions as required by the project schedule.
