Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials to and from the job site safely and efficiently.
- Site Maintenance: Keep the construction site clean, organized, and free of hazards (debris, tools, etc.).
- Assistance: Assist skilled tradesmen (electricians, carpenters, etc.) with various tasks as directed.
- Tool Operation: Operate basic construction tools and equipment under supervision.
- Site Safety: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols at all times.
- Documentation: Complete daily logs and report any safety issues or material shortages immediately.
Qualifications
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Experience: Previous construction or landscaping experience is a plus but not required.
- Transportation: Reliable transportation to and from the worksite in Washington, DC.
- Documentation: Valid government-issued ID and ability to pass a background check.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time hours, including weekends or overtime if necessary.
- Attitude: Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong work ethic.
