Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Assist carpenters and masons with layout measurements and structural assembly
- Operate heavy machinery (forklifts, jackhammers, etc.) with proper safety protocols
- Maintain clean and organized job sites to meet OSHA standards
- Inspect tools and equipment daily for operational safety
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
- Read and interpret blueprints and construction schematics
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License (Class C minimum)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout shifts
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Flexible availability for weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 6AM-4PM)
- Basic math skills for material calculations and measurements
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Alameda County
- Strong communication skills in English
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
