Responsibilities
- Perform site preparation, excavation, and material handling under supervisor guidance
- Operate hand/power tools and equipment safely (e.g., jackhammers, saws, drills)
- Assist in erecting scaffolding, pouring concrete, and installing structural elements
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
- Collaborate with skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) on complex tasks
- Inspect and maintain tools/equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Document daily progress and report safety concerns immediately
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience required
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexibility to work weekends (Sat/Sun) with occasional overtime
- Pass pre-employment background/drug screening
