Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including material handling, equipment operation, and site preparation
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times
- Assist skilled trades with concrete pouring, framing, demolition, and finishing work
- Maintain clean, organized work zones and efficient material flow
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy machinery safely
- Conduct pre-task inspections and report equipment/safety concerns immediately
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet weekend project deadlines
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years construction labor experience or trade certification
- Valid O-10 card or ability to obtain within 30 days
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to complete
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Class B CDL preferred (not required for all roles)
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and construction machinery
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Chicagoland
