Responsibilities
- Assist in site preparation, excavation, and earth-moving operations using heavy machinery
- Load/unload construction materials and safely transport equipment to designated areas
- Perform concrete pouring, finishing, and curing under supervisor guidance
- Erect scaffolding, temporary structures, and safety barriers per OSHA standards
- Maintain clean, organized workspaces and adhere to strict safety protocols
- Operate power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and hand tools efficiently
- Collaborate with skilled tradespersons (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) on complex tasks
Qualifications
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform strenuous outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites across Colorado Springs
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred (training provided if needed)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday/Sunday) with occasional weekday overtime
