About the Role
As a Construction Laborer, you will be the essential support system for our job sites. You will work closely with experienced foremen and skilled tradespeople to ensure every project is completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role is physical but rewarding, offering the chance to see tangible results of your hard work.
Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Site Assistance: Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other tradespeople with various tasks, including cutting, drilling, and holding materials.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area by sweeping, cleaning debris, and ensuring proper waste disposal.
- Support Tasks: Perform general labor tasks such as digging trenches, pouring concrete, or setting up scaffolding as directed by the site supervisor.
- Quality Control: Assist in quality assurance tasks, ensuring that work meets project specifications and safety codes.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Schedule Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Driver's License: A valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Experience: Previous construction or general labor experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated candidates with a strong work ethic.
- Teamwork: Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team-oriented environment.
- Attention to Detail: Must follow instructions carefully and adhere to all safety protocols (OSHA standards).
