Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, marking areas, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- General Labor: Perform various manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, carrying, and cleaning work areas to maintain a safe and efficient job site.
- Skill Support: Assist skilled tradespeople (electricians, plumbers, carpenters) with basic tasks as directed to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery or power tools safely and according to company guidelines.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations, wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and report hazards immediately.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor or general handyman work is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
- Driver’s License: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required.
- Communication: Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic, punctuality, and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
