Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters, masons, and equipment operators with construction tasks
- Load/unload materials and equipment safely at job sites
- Prepare sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding
- Operate basic tools (hammers, saws, drills) under supervision
- Maintain safety protocols and clean work areas daily
- Complete timecards and safety documentation accurately
- Travel between Oakland and Bay Area job sites as needed
Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor for 8+ hours
- Valid California driver's license (required for equipment transport)
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Reliable transportation to Oakland job sites
- Flexible availability for weekend shifts (6 AM - 4 PM)
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Drug-free with passing background check
- Willingness to travel to New York for future expansion projects
