Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including digging, lifting, and carrying materials to and from the job site.
- Assist skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters and electricians, with various construction duties.
- Operate and maintain basic construction equipment and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure the job site is clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines to maintain a secure work environment.
- Load and unload construction materials from trucks and distribute them to designated areas.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and layout instructions when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred but not always required.
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to the job site.
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work well in a team setting.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety practices is highly desirable.
