Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and stack building materials (bricks, lumber, concrete) using hand tools or forklifts.
- Assist Skilled Trades: Support carpenters, electricians, and masons by carrying tools and supplies.
- Equipment Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe by removing hazards and performing routine cleanup.
- Measurement & Layout: Help measure and mark cutting lines on materials, according to blueprints or instructions.
- Site Security: Ensure the job site is secure and adhere to all safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects for extended periods (up to 50 lbs).
- Reliability: Must be punctual and have a consistent work history.
- Communication: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Tool Familiarity: Willingness to learn how to use hand tools and power tools safely.
- Background Check: Must pass a drug screen and background check prior to employment.
- Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the job site.
