Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and prepare construction materials, tools, and equipment efficiently and safely.
- Site Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with various on-site tasks and general labor duties.
- Equipment Operation: Operate power tools, hand tools, and heavy machinery (such as forklifts or skid steers) under proper supervision.
- Site Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site by removing debris and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Demolition: Perform basic demolition tasks, including breaking concrete and removing drywall under direction.
- Measurements: Assist with measuring, cutting, and shaping materials to ensure precise project specifications.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous construction or labor experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), bending, standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions.
- Driver’s License: A valid Driver’s License is required.
- Tools: Basic understanding of construction tools and safety gear is a plus.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions clearly.
