Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and accurately stack building materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and ensuring the area is safe for operations.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction machinery and power tools (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers, drills) under supervision.
- Assistance: Provide direct assistance to skilled tradespeople, including framing, drywalling, or concrete pouring as needed.
- Site Clean-up: Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all OSHA safety regulations.
- Measurements: Perform basic measurements and cutting tasks to ensure project specifications are met.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical labor for long hours, including lifting heavy objects (50+ lbs) and standing on concrete.
- Safety Conscious: Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and a commitment to wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Reliability: Strong work ethic with a history of punctuality and dependability.
- Communication: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from supervisors effectively.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
- Experience: Previous construction experience is a plus, but not required for eager learners.
