Responsibilities
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment from delivery trucks.
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) with daily tasks and site preparation.
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools under supervision (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers).
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Dig trenches, pour concrete, and assist with framing and drywall installation as needed.
- Perform physical labor including lifting, carrying, and standing for extended periods.
- Report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to the Site Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred; trade school background is a plus.
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Ability to read basic blueprints and follow verbal instructions.
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites in the Houston area.
